David Schumacher sceglie RP Motorsport per il debutto in Euroformula Open
RP Motorsport è lieta di annunciare la definizione dell’accordo con il pilota David Schumacher per gli ultimi due appuntamenti della stagione di Euroformula Open, in programma sui circuiti di Jerez de la Frontera e Montmelò. Per il 16enne tedesco, figlio dell’ex-pilota di Formula 1 Ralf, si tratterà dell’esordio assoluto nella prestigiosa serie continentale.
Dopo essersi reso autore di un brillante esordio in monoposto nel Formula 4 UAE Championship, dove ha colto il secondo posto assoluto laureandosi ‘Rookie of the Year’ grazie a 3 vittorie e 5 pole position, David ha messo in mostra quest’anno il proprio talento anche nell’ADAC Formel 4, il competitivo campionato tedesco che lo ha visto classificarsi al 9° posto ed ottenere anche in questa occasione il titolo di miglior esordiente della categoria.
Il giovane tedesco per questa nuova esperienza ha quindi scelto RP Motorsport, team reduce dalla conquista del titolo 2018 in Euroformula Open con Felipe Drugovich (il sesto nelle ultime sette stagioni) e da sempre particolarmente attento a valorizzare i giovani talenti, potendo annoverare nei propri 21 anni di attività disputati ad alto livello in svariate categorie piloti del calibro di Daniel Ricciardo, Davide Valsecchi, Kevin Ceccon, Toni Vilander e Marco Bonanomi.

David Schumacher farà il proprio debutto tra le fila del team RP Motorsport in occasione del penultimo round stagionale, in programma a Jerez dal 5 al 7 ottobre, prima di affrontare l’impegno sul tracciato di Montmelò che chiuderà l’annata 2018 di Euroformula Open. RP Motorsport is pleased to announce the agreement with the driver David Schumacher for the last two events of the Euroformula Open season, scheduled on the circuits of Jerez de la Frontera and Montmelò. The 16 year old German, son of the former Formula 1 driver Ralf, will make his debut in the prestigious european series.
After having made a brilliant debut in a single-seater car in the Formula 4 UAE Championship, where he took the second place overall and the title of ‘Rookie of the Year’ (thanks to 3 wins, 16 podiums and 5 pole positions) David has shown his talent this year also in the ADAC Formel 4, that saw him ranked in 9th place and get also on this occasion the title of best rookie.
The young German has chosen RP Motorsport for this new experience, a team back from winning the 2018 title in Euroformula Open with Felipe Drugovich (the sixth in the last seven seasons) and particularly careful to enhance the young talents: in the 21 years of competitions at high level in different categories can include drivers such as Daniel Ricciardo, Davide Valsecchi, Kevin Ceccon, Toni Vilander and Marco Bonanomi.
